Class Descriptions

Beginner-Appropriate (no yoga experience)

intro to yoga/beginner series and classes
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual roadmap for living your most healthy and happy life. In these 6-week sessions, we’ll explore yogic breathing exercises, an all levels physical practice and brief discussions on yoga theory/philosophy. Build strength, endurance, and discipline—and gain a deeper understanding of the yogic lifestyle and your own body, mind and spirit. This is a great class for anyone new to yoga or as a refresher after being away from it for some time.

unwind
Treat yourself! This class incorporates soothing gentle yoga, meditation, pranayama (breath work) and an extended relaxation session. Whether you’ve never tried yoga before, have some basic experience, are a seasoned yogi, or somewhere in between—this class is for you!

yoga foundations
A new approach to a beginner series designed for all levels of practitioners. Whether you're brand new to the practice, or seeking a greater understanding of and connection to the roots of yoga—this session is an ideal time investment. Over the course of a four-week session, we'll explore the traditional four branches of yoga and look at how to apply the wisdom of each to your daily life; we'll explore the power and beauty of connected, conscious breathwork; we'll engage in the active practice of mindfulness on the mat; and of course, we'll explore the basics of asana (the physical postures of yoga). Students can expect about 30 minutes of discussion in each 75 minute session, followed by a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga practice. Bring a yoga mat (we also have some available to borrow if needed), and a drink of water. Dress comfortably.

semi-private yoga sessions
located at Full Circle Studio/Three Circles Therapeutics

Inspired by the yin & yang forces, Ashley's signature yoga class combines high-energy and dynamic movements with stillness and long holding postures. You'll begin by connecting to your breath as you set your intention, then open your mind, body and soul to the experience. You’ll finish feeling grounded and free. This class is semi-private, meaning there will be no more than 3-4 participants in the studio. The smaller class sizes allow for more individual attention, hands-on assists, and other benefits. Each session ends with a crystal sound bath savasana.

Mid-Level (some yoga or fitness experience)

all levels ashtanga
All Levels Ashtanga is an all-levels class, where students will learn to complete the Sun Salutations while linking each movement to breath. We will also work through the entirety of the Primary Series Standing Sequence and a sampling of the seated sequence, with modifications offered throughout to accommodate different levels of experience. Be prepared to gain an understanding of your mental and physical limits and learn about finding your “grace” – the space between effort and ease where you can fully benefit from each pose, mentally, emotionally and physically. Students must be able to move from seated to standing and back to seated. The Ashtanga sequences make it easy for students to develop a personal practice and give a fundamental understanding that can be applied to all yoga. These classes are taught in a noncompetitive environment to students of all ages and body types.

hatha yoga
An invigorating, embodied Hatha practice that will get your yang energy shifting and moving.  Practice conventional poses in a faster paced class while still maintaining focus on breath and alignment.  In this class you will build heat within and then move through a mindful flow of balancing and standing postures to strengthen your core and improve stability.
vinyasa flow
Vinyasa classes focus on the linking together of movement and breath to create a flow sequence. A bit different from our Ashtanga class, poses can be put in any order, so be ready for some added variety. These classes cultivate balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance, while offering opportunities for each student to learn about him/herself and grow in the practice. These classes are strong and fun!
Open to yogis of all levels, our Vinyasa teachers will offer modifications or challenges to suit each student. Students should be comfortable with moving from seated to standing poses and back to seated.

yin yoga
The hallmark of yin yoga is that poses (floor or supine) are held for about three to five minutes at a time in order to stretch the connective tissue around the joints and bring the practitioner to a state of mental calmness. This soothing, healing practice allows us to settle into the present moment, engaging deeply with the body, mind and spirit.

wake up & unwind
Inspired by the Yin & Yang forces, this yoga class combines high-energy and dynamic movements with stillness and long holding postures. Begin by connecting to your breath as you set your intention, then open your mind, body and soul to the experience. You’ll finish feeling grounded and free.

kundalini rebel yoga
Kundalini yoga holds the potential to help free us from our own limiting belief systems, to ignite the fire within, to cleanse the subconscious, and to smooth outdated, unhelpful patterns in the brain. It holds the potential to unleash our deepest creative inclinations and most powerful intuitive understandings. Taught at tribe without any of the associated dogma or restrictions, this style of yoga encourages a deeper connection to the self.

Come let your hair down. Wear some comfy clothes and bring an open heart. Join us as we explore a specific kundalini kriya (set of movements, breath, and sound) each week in this beginner-friendly class. All levels of fitness and knowledge welcome. Bring a friend, too.

Experienced (solid understanding of yoga terminology and postures)

ashtanga half-primary series
The Primary Series is a defined sequence of poses, linked together with breath, bandhas and drishti. This is a led class, with modifications offered to meet the needs of each student's level of strength, experience and flexibility. Students are encouraged to attend our Exploring Ashtanga classes and gain a familiarity with the poses there prior to taking our Primary Series class.
