Our in house tarot reader Cristina, created this spread to give you a life compass or guide every month. Read on for August's spread with a theme inspired by the season of Leo.
1. What can I let go of that no longer serves me?
0 The Fool
Let go of your need to have a clean slate, or a do over. Living life from a fresh perspective has it’s place. Remembering that your imperfections are a springboard of deep inner knowing and personal wisdom, don’t be so quick to erase parts of your life that you think you regret. You are perfectly imperfect. Commit to yourself.
2. How can I develop my personal power?
II of Cups
It’s all about relationship. Whether new or old, we develop who we are through relationship. Every relationship is a teacher. Seeing ourselves through the eyes of another gives us the courage to live a genuine existence.
The job of the teacher is not to teach you the truth. You know the truth. The job of the teacher is, out of his practical life and experience, to remind you to live the truth. That’s all it is. There is nothing which you do not know.” - Yogi Bhajan
3. Where can I surrender to change?
III of Swords Reversed
Feel the pain. I know it’s cliche, but the only way out of the torment of change is through. The more you run away from your reality, or try to push forward instead of lean into, the longer the chaos rules. Know that whatever you are going through right now will not last forever. It will never last forever. Accept the impermanence of change.
4. How can I rebuild with healthy boundaries?
XVII The Star Reversed
Start with being kind to and for your body. Anyone who spends time on social media knows that it can get harder and harder to scroll and not be affected. Instead of ignoring yourself in the mirror, look with love, and wonder. Tell yourself that you are luminous every chance you get. When your thoughts begin to take on a negative tone, notice it and remember that it’s not true. It’s never true. Find balance with self-care. Yes, chocolate is necessary, but so is fresh air, sleep, water and exercise.
5. What energies can I look to for strength?
The energy of renewal and a deep understanding of the beauty that comes through death. The personal shedding of your own skin is hard work. You feel as the deeper you go, the less you recognize yourself. But it is you. It’s the expanded, free and healed you. The energy of death can be sudden or in most cases slow. In it’s slowness, we can lose consciousness. Stay conscious. Pay attention to the you behind the death of all of the layers covering your true nature.
