mindfulness & meditation
new small group community experience begins October 12th
with Stacy Hein
The practices of mindfulness and meditation hold vast and complex benefits for the human journey. Mindfulness, when practiced as intended in the Buddhist traditions, holds extensive psychological and spiritual growth and healing opportunities. Mindfulness offers a direct pathway to understanding the patterns of our behavior, developing greater depths of compassion, and living with grace, equanimity, and joy. The practice expands well beyond the current popular and minimized definition of "being present" or "living in the moment," and enables access to the deepest crevices of our inner worlds. The complementary tools of breath work and meditation are vehicles to ease and ignite the journey.
In this small group community cohort, you'll receive instruction on various tools and exercises designed to awaken your inner voice, allow access to non-reactionary powers of personal observation, and propel your quest toward comprehension. Led breath training and practices, guided mindfulness experiences, meditation prep, and group meditation will all be offered in a safe and accepting environment. Education modules on Buddhist mindfulness principles, guidance on how to interpret personal discoveries, and shared reflections within the group dynamic assist with integration. Journal exercises, "homework" for establishing your personal practice, and small group shares and discussion will facilitate your ability to find what tools work best for you and find support in community. Each practitioner is encouraged to experiment, explore, share, and seek guidance to ensure optimal progression within the process.
If you are a seeker, curious by nature; if you're feeling lost or in need of clarification in any part of life; if you wish to develop a consistent mindfulness/meditation practice; or if you are looking for community with like-minded souls—join us on this adventure.
