Restorative yoga with hot stones

Have you been looking for an excuse to let go? Allowing yourself to relax, and connect with the body and spirit...
This is your opportunity! We are creating space, and offering poses and props to allow you to feel centered, and reset. In this class we will set you up in restorative poses using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. Then, we will lay hot stones on you to assist in deeper relaxation. We recommend you wear long pants, long-sleeved tee-shirts and socks.

Finding Peace: Mindfulness Meditation Gathering
with Tim Hungaski
Is a peaceful state of being something we look for or something we allow to happen? Lets explore these inquiries into the human condition. During our practice we will do a breathing exercises, and guided meditation. Practice is led by Tim Hungaski, Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor and Home Care Occupational Therapist. Come by yourself or bring a friend. All levels are welcome. Props are provided to support comfortable sitting.

Tea and Talk: Intuitive Eating
with Shannon Schwartz, RD LDN
Tea and Talk is a new event that will be held monthly to share nutritional information on a specific topic. In this events we will discuss the most recent scientific data in specific areas. At this gathering we will focus on the topic of intuitive eating. Intuitive eating is the "anti-diet approach," created to reconnect with your body's natural signals. It was formed by two fellow dietitians Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. Intuitive eating offers ten principles to follow that we will discuss thoroughly.
Shannon Schwartz is owner of Tribe Yoga and also a registered dietitian. She has many years of experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics, working in nutritional counseling as well as the clinic setting. Shannon regards nutrition as major factor that can contribute to physical and mental health, and is passionate about sharing what she has learned through education and personal experience.
